The Shropshire Council (Footpath 21 (part), Parish of Eaton-under-Heywood)

Public Path Diversion Order 2025

On 15 th May 2025, The Shropshire Council (the “Council”) confirmed the above-named Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert to a new location part of Eaton-under-Heywood footpath 21 that is located between grid references SO 5006 9094 & SO 4981 9087 and in the vicinity of Whitefields Farm, SY6 7DH. A copy of the Order as confirmed may be seen on the Council’s website at

outdoor.recreation@shropshire.gov.uk

Shropshire Council certify that the Order becomes operative on 25 th April 2025; but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 15 th May 2025 make an application to the High Court.
