Notice Of Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic –
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 –

Brian Palin Way, Leighton
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Brian Palin Way, Leighton – From Middlewich Road Roundabout to Tottys Hall Way Roundabout.

The alternative route will be via Middlewich Road, Bob Brown Way, Tottys Hall Way and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Friday 6 June 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Thursday 3 July 2025.

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL – (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places)
(Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022
(Amendment No. 36) 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 38, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 61 and 124 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the said Act.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to:
1. Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Prohibition and restriction of Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by;

i. Introducing Electrical Vehicle Charging as outlined in Schedule 1 below and by replacing Map Tile No. DI113 in the Consolidation Order schedules.

The restrictions and/or prohibitions imposed by this proposed Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restrictions or requirements imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under the Act or by or under any other enactment.

SCHEDULE 1 – (Introduction of Electrical Vehicle Charging Places)

• Introduce Electric Vehicle Charging Places from a point 11 metres east of Fern Court junction, for a distance of 11 metres in an easterly direction.
