(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
The Council hereby give notice under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of their intention to temporarily close the following roads at the following locations:

The closures are necessary in the interests of road safety to facilitate carriageway surface dressing works.
The closures are planned to be undertaken during the period of 19 May 2025 to 30 September 2025 and shall have effect only at such times as indicated by appropriate signs.
Emergency Vehicle access will be maintained at all times. Vehicle and pedestrian access to properties within the closed section will be maintained where practicable. For more information Tel 03033 333 000
(C8N Collin – Jericho Bridge & U48N Tinwald Village)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) Order 2025
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C8n Low Road, Tinwald, from its junction with Kirk Brae to Ivy Cottage from 0800 on 19/05/2025 to 1900 on 21/05/2025 & U48n Kirk Brae, Tinwald, from its junction with Low Road to its junction with Kirk Bank from 0800 on 22/05/2025 to 1900 on 24/05/2025.
Works will be carried out under a rolling closure with road reopening as works progress.
The closure is necessary to facilitate BT ducting works.
Alternative route available: C8n Low Road: Via U48n Kirk Brae, C9n High Road, A709, C8n Low Road and vice versa & U48n Kirk Brae: Via C9n High Road, A709, C8n Low Road and vice versa.
Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained
(U47N Damhead) (Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) Order 2025
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U47n between Townhead and Couplands Well, Tinwald from 0800 to 1900 on 22/05/2025.
The closure is necessary to facilitate BT ducting works.
No alternative route is available, access to properties will be available when required.
Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
(B729 Dumfries - Carsphairn)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) No. 2 Order 2025
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close the B729 from Birkshaw Cottage to access road to Dardarroch Farm, Dunscore from 0930 to 1530 on 16/05/25.
The closure is necessary to facilitate BT pole replacement works. Alternative route available via B729, A76(T), A702, B729 and vice versa.
Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
