What is happening?

WILTSHIRE COUNCIL

LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK

NOTICE OF CONSULTATION ON DRAFT SETTING OF THE STONEHENGE, AVEBURY AND ASSOCIATED SITES WORLD HERITAGE SITE SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING DOCUMENT.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council is consulting on the draft Setting of the Stonehenge, Avebury and Associated Sites World Heritage Site Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).

Availability of documents

• The draft document will be available on the Wiltshire Council website at: https://consult.wiltshire.gov.uk/kse/

• Hard copies of the draft document will also be made available during normal opening hours at County Hall and at Marlborough, Amesbury, Durrington and Salisbury Libraries

• When to comment: comments are invited on the draft document from 06 May 2025 until 5pm on 17 June 2025.

How to comment: comments can be made:

• Online via the council’s consultation portal: http://consult.wiltshire.gov.uk/portal

• By post to: Melanie Pomeroy-Kellinger, Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre, Cocklebury Road, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 3QN

• If responding by post, comment forms are available from County Hall and Marlborough, Amesbury, Durrington and Salisbury Libraries

• Next steps: all comments received during the consultation period will be taken into account.

A final version of the Setting of the Stonehenge, Avebury and Associated Sites World Heritage Site Supplementary Planning Document will be submitted for approval by Cabinet, with the SPD being considered for recommendation to Full Council for adoption.
