What is happening?
LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(NORTH HYKEHAM – RICHMOND DRIVE, HEATHER GARDENS, INNS CLOSE AND ST GEORGE’S CLOSE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lincolnshire County Council propose to make an Order under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:
• Introduce No Waiting at Any Time on Richmond Drive at the junctions of Newark Road, Inns Close and Heather Gardens. Inns Close outside the school entrance and St George’s Close at the junctions of St Marks Close and St James Place.
• Introduce No Waiting Monday - Friday 8-9.30am - 2.30-4.30pm on Richmond Drive outside properties 1-7 and Inns Close.
• Introduce a mandatory school keep clear Monday-Friday 8am-4.30pm on Heather Gardens outside Ling Moor Primary School.
Some exemptions are included which will permit waiting for disabled persons’ vehicles and for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers, loading or unloading of goods, the maintenance of the roads, and works in connection with the supply of gas, electricity, water and telecommunications apparatus.
The Order will come into operation on 12th May 2025 and a copy of the Order and a plan showing the lengths of road concerned with a Statement of Reasons can be requested.
These documents can be supplied to you by emailing TRO@lincolnshire.gov.uk or calling our Customer Service Centre on 01522 782070 during office hours. You may also be able to view these documents at the offices of North Kesteven District Council, during normal office hours.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks after 6th May 2025 make application to the High Court for this purpose.
