What is happening?

Perth & Kinross Council 

Education And Learning 

In terms of The Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010, Perth and Kinross Council is now formally embarking upon consultations with regards to the following proposal: 

• To permanently establish a new Intensive Support Provision (ISP) in Viewlands Primary School for pupils with Additional Support Needs with effect from January 2026. 

A public meeting will be held on Monday 12 May 2025 at 7.00pm at Viewlands Primary School. Details of the meeting are published in the Proposal Paper and on the Council's website www.pkc.gov.uk where the authority will be represented for the purposes of explaining the proposal to be considered and taking account of representations made at the meeting as part of the consultation process.

Should you wish to attend the public meeting, please book a place by completing the online form on the Council's Proposals and Consultations website page for Intensive Support Provision for Viewlands Primary School, or by emailing FBSStatConsultations@pkc.gov.uk to ensure attendee numbers can be managed.

The consultation period will run from 24 April 2025 until 6 June 2025 and any representations on the proposal, or any alternatives, must be submitted by 6 June 2025 online at www.pkc.gov.uk, by email to FBSStatConsultations@pkc.gov.uk or in writing to Viewlands Primary School ISP Consultation, Education and Learning, Floor 2, 2 High Street, Perth, PH1 5PH.

• To formally close the original site of City of Perth Early Childhood Centre (CoPECC) and formalise the permanent delivery of the service from the current site at Goodlyburn Primary School from January 2026. 

A public meeting will be held on Thursday 22 May 2025 at 6.00pm at Goodlyburn Primary School. 

Details of the meeting are published in the Proposal Paper and on the Council's website www.pkc.gov.uk where the authority will be represented for the purposes of explaining the proposal to be considered and taking account of representations made at the meeting as part of the consultation process.
