TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS EARLSDON FESTIVAL 2025
Coventry City Council (“the Council”) under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, as amended, intends to make a temporary Order (“the Order”), the purpose of which is to facilitate the holding of, and to enable members of the public to attend Earlsdon Festival 2025.
The Order would come into effect at 05.30 hours on 5th May 2025 and would remain in effect until 18.00 hours on 5th May 2025.
The general effect of the Order would be to prohibit all vehicles from:
(a) Entering or proceeding along the Earlsdon Street in both directions between its junctions with Providence Street and Earlsdon Avenue South
(b) Waiting, loading/unloading, or proceeding on Earlsdon Street in both directions between its junctions with Providence Street and Earlsdon Avenue South
(c) Entering or proceeding from junction of Beechwood Avenue to Rochester Avenue & Radcliffe Road
(d) Entering or proceeding along Moor Street.
The restrictions in the Order shall apply to such extent and at such times as indicated by prescribed traffic signs on site.
Surrounding roads would be barriered and manned by volunteers to maintain access to properties.
The Order would prohibit vehicles to such an extent and at such time as indicated by event marshals and prescribed traffic signs on site.
Diversion routes for the closures will be as signed on site.
Exemptions would be provided for any vehicle being used in connection with the event, emergency service vehicles, any person upon the direction of or with the permission of a police officer in uniform or an authorised traffic management event marshal.
Pedestrian access to all properties within the restricted roads would be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.
