ADUR DISTRICT COUNCIL
LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1982 Part VIII (LG(MP)Act 1982
In accordance with the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 the Council has resolved that the following provisions shall apply to the Adur District Council Area from 1st June 2025.
Section 15 - Tattooing, semi-permanent skin-colouring, cosmetic piercing and electrolysis
Section 16 - Provisions supplementary to sections 14 and 15
Section 17 - Power to enter premises (acupuncture etc)
The effect of this resolution is that a person who carries on the business of tattooing, semi-permanent skin-colouring, cosmetic piercing or electrolysis must be registered with Adur District Council and can only carry on their business in premises which have also been registered for the business of tattooing, semi-permanent skin-colouring, cosmetic piercing or electrolysis. The certificate of registration must be predominantly displayed at the place where the business is carried on.
The draft Byelaw, the statement prepared under regulation 5(2)(c) and the report prepared under regulation 6(2)(c) may be inspected free of charge between 9am and 5pm at The Shoreham Centre, 2 Pond Rd, Shoreham-by-Sea BN43 5WU and Worthing Town Hall, Chapel Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 1HA
