Barbara Stradbroke Avenue, Newmarket - Temporary 40MPH Speed Restriction
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14 TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE A1304 BARBARA STRADBROKE AVENUE, NEWMARKET
To enable enhanced traffic flow and public safety during the Newmarket Racecourse Events, Suffolk County Council has made an order imposing a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the A1304 Barbara Stradbroke Avenue, Newmarket from the County boundary north eastbound to the existing 40mph speed limit.
Other co-ordinated works may be introduced if necessary. It is intended that these restrictions will operate on the dates shown below, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
Dates for the speed restrictions on the A1304 Barbara Stradbroke Avenue: 15/04/2025 - 17/04/2025 02/05/2025 - 04/05/2025 16/05/2025 - 18/05/2025 20/06/2025 - 21/06/2025 26/06/2025 - 27/06/2025 10/07/2025 - 12/07/2025 18/07/2025 - 19/07/2025 01/08/2025 - 02/08/2025 08/08/2025 - 09/08/2025 15/08/2025 - 16/08/2025 22/08/2025 - 23/08/2025 20/09/2025 for one day only 25/09/2025 - 27/09/2025 04/10/2025 for one day only 10/10/2025 - 11/10/2025 22/10/2025 for one day only 31/10/2025 - 01/11/2025
