(Public Footpath LSO/10/30, Chipping Sodbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the above order, made by South Gloucestershire District Council on 13 April 2022, has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 25 October 2025 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the order has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers the entire length of Public Footpath LSO/10/30. This order was required in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new development construction works and would have expired on 25 April 2025. Alternative Route: Trinity Lane, Horton View, Trinity Meadows, Trinity Lane, St Johns Way and vice versa.
(Public Footpath LYA/60/10, Yate) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the above order, made by South Gloucestershire District Council on 22 March 2023, has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 6 October 2025 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the order has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers the entire length of Public Footpath LYA/60/10. This order was required in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new development construction works and would have expired on 6 April 2025. Alternative Route: Public Footpath LYA/59/10.
(Shellards Road, Longwell Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Shellards Road which extends from Watsons Road northwards for 25m and southwards for 25m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon gas main upgrade works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 7 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Alternative route: Woodward Drive, Marsham Way, Bath Road and vice versa.
(Public Footpaths LWR/36/10; LWR/36/20 and LWR/37/10, Wickwar) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon construction works. The order became operative from 7 April 2025 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 months duration. SCHEDULE: 1. Footpath LWR/36/10 – the entire length; 2. Footpath LWR/36/20 – the entire length; 3. Footpath LWR/37/10 – that length which extends from B4058 Bristol Road south eastwards for 100m. (A38 Gloucester Road, Severn Vale and Thornbury Ward) (Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has:- a) prohibited, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding at a speed in excess of 30 miles per hour in the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) suspended, temporarily, the South Gloucestershire Council (Various Roads, Almondsbury and Over Area) (Restricted Roads) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 1999 in so far as it relates to the length of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice, for the duration of this order; and c) suspended, temporarily, the South Gloucestershire Council (A38 Gloucester Road – Almondsbury to Alveston, Hortham Lane and Woodlands Lane) (40mph Speed Limit) (Restricted Roads) Order 2004 in so far as it relates to the length of road specified in Schedule 3 to this notice, for the duration of this order. This order was required in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon CRSTS works. The order became operative from 7 April 2025 for a period of at least 18 months. The restriction however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position. SCHEDULE 1 A38 Gloucester Road – that length which extends from Grovesend Road to M5 Junction 16; SCHEDULE 2 A38 Gloucester Road – that length which extends from M5 Junction 16 to a point 274.32m north east of Florence Park; SCHEDULE 3 A38 Gloucester Road – that length which extends from a point 274.32m north east of Florence Park to a point 139m north east of Thornbury Road.
(Luckington Road, Acton Turville) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Luckington Road which extends from Chapel Lane north eastwards for 600m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order became operative from 7 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am to 3:30pm. Alternative route: B4040 Malmesbury Road, A46 Tetbury Road, A433 Church Street, B4014 Fox Hill, B4014 Filands, A429 Crudwell Road, B4040 Holloway, B4040 Bristol Street, B4040 Church Street, B4040 Sherston Road and vice versa.
(Various Roads, Various Wards – Street Cleansing Programme) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with street cleaning works. The order became operative from 8 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, in respect of each location. For the alternative routes, see Schedule 2.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Little Bristol Lane which extends from B4058 Wotton Road to Manor Lane. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon Charfield Station construction works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 8 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The order became operative from 8 April 2025 for a period of at least 18 months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position. Alternative route: Manor Lane, B4058 Wotton Road and vice versa.
(Over Lane, Almondsbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Over Lane which extends from Sundays Hill to Knole Park. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with overhead cabling works. The order became operative from 10 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am to 3:30pm. Alternative route: A38 Gloucester Road, Hayes Way, Merlin Road, B4055 and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers the entire length of Public Footpath LWR/26/10. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon aqueduct repair works. The order will be operative from 28 April 2025 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 months duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Public Footpath LWE/37/50 which extends from a point 55m north east of LWE/41/10 north eastwards for 10m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon trial hole works. The order will be operative from 28 April 2025 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Bolingbroke Way, inbound and outbound, which extends from Gloucester Road North eastwards for 130m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with resurfacing works. The order will be operative from 28 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 weeks duration. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new water connection works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 29 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Henfield Road which extends from a point 140m north of Coxgrove Hill northwards for 30m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon supply cut off works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 29 April 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration.
