Eashing Lane (D94) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Eashing Lane (D94) Godalming which extends from the southeastern property boundary line of “Little Eashing” to its junction with Halfway Lane (X94).

Alternative Route – Eashing Lane (D94), Guildford Road (A283), Portsmouth Road (A3100) and Eashing Lane (D94) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

C45 Combe Lane and A25 Shere Road, Shere Temporary Traffic Management Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit all traffic, including cyclists, equestrians and pedestrians from entering or proceeding in that length of C45 Combe Lane, Shere that extends from its junction with A25 Shere Road, to the southern side of its junction with the access for “Medlands Farm”. 2. Impose a maximum speed limit of 30mph on that length of A25 Shere Road, Shere that extends from its junction with C45 Combe Lane, for a distance of 500m eastward and 500m westward. This Traffic Order is required by Road Traffic Solutions to enable GallifordTry to carry out water pipe installation and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm within 4 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 31 March 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and speed limit which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via Shere Road footway, Rights of Way route 143, Rights of Way route 142b and Combe Lane. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times to the point of works via the alternative route:- Shere Road, Epsom Road and Staple Lane.

C152 Molesey Road, Hersham
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the north-eastbound carriageway to C152 Molesey Road, Hersham that extends from the centre of its junction with the northern access road for “Hersham Place Technology Park” north-eastwards for a distance of 50m. 2. Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in an easterly direction on the northern access road for “Hersham Place Technology Park” from turning left into C152 Molesey Road, Hersham. This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water to relay a long service pipe and/or carry out water mains repair and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 4pm, within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary banned turn and closure which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted equestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses, will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Molesey Road, Queens Road and A317 Queensway.

Russell Road (D3802) and Cottimore Lane (D3814) Walton-On-Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14)7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (1) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and (2) suspend “Surrey County Council D3814 Cottimore Lane, Walton-on-Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (b) of the Schedule to this Notice. The Order is required to allow mains gas replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the lengths of road described in this Notice. This Order, which will commence on 06 April 2025 for a period of 12 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of SGN, including but not limited to: mains gas replacement works and/or any other associated works. In the Schedule to this notice the works in part (a) are anticipated to be carried out over 16 days commencing on 06 April 2025 the works in part (b) are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks commencing on 07 April 2025; and will be done in five phases. Phase 1 will be from its junction with (A3050) Terrace Road to its junction with (D3814) Lancaster Court; phase 2 will be from its junction with (D3814) Lancaster Court to its junction with (D3814) Kingsbridge Road; phase 3 will be from its junction with (D3814) Kingsbridge Road to its junction with (D3814) Cottimore Terrace; phase 4 will be from its junction with (D3814) Cottimore Terrace to its junction with (D3815) Carlton Road and phase 5 will be from its junction with (D3815) Carlton Road to its junction with (D3818) Florence Road. All Works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works there will be no vehicular access through the works area’s and all vehicular traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion routes. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising

(a) that length of Russell Road (D3802) Walton-On-Thames as extends from its junction with (A3050) Terrace Road north-westwards for a distance of 20 metres. Alternative Route – A3050 Terrace Road; Sunbury Lane; Franklin Road; and Russell Road or this same route in reverse; and (b) that length of Cottimore Lane (D3814) Walton-On-Thames as extends from its junction with (A3050) Terrace Road to its junction with (D3818) Florence Road. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in those lengths of road specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order, which will commence on 01 April 2025 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: highways improvement works and/or gulley works and/or highway maintenance works. Works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Saturday. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

Thorpe Lea Road (B3376) Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Thorpe Lea Road (B3376) Egham as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (B3376) New Wickham Lane to its junction with the north-eastern access to the property known as Glenville Farm. Alternative Route – New Wickham Lane; Vicarage Road; Pooley Green Road; and Thorpe Lea Road or this same route in reverse. This Order is required to allow s278 works and/or utility connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Houlihan & Co (Excavations) Ltd within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over seventeen days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 05 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for the emergency services in an emergency situation only. All other traffic including residents will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Chestnut Way (D681) Bramley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Chestnut Way (D681) Bramley between a point 22 metres and 55 metres west of its junction with A281 (Birtley Road).

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order is required to allow UKPN to facilitate a new electrical connection and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 8 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Old Heath Road (D3887) Weybridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 21 March 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding that length of Old Heath Road (D3887) Weybridge as extends from outside the property known as “Hand and Spear” public house to its junction with College Way (X5299); and 2. to prohibit any vehicle from making a (a) left turn into College Way (X5299) from Heath Road (B374) northbound and (b) a right turn into Heath Road (B374) southbound from College Way (X5299).

Alternative route for closure – Old Heath Road and Heath Road, or this route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow Houlihan and Co (Excavations) Ltd to carry out junction improvement works and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 16 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 5 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Avondale Avenue (D3297) and Wheatsheaf Lane (D3299) Staines-Upon-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 21 March 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding along that length of that length of: (a) Avondale Avenue (D3297) Staines-Upon-Thames as extends from its junction with Wheatsheaf Lane (D3299) to a point 22 metres south; and (b) Wheatsheaf Lane (D3299) Staines-Upon-Thames as extends from its junction with Avondale Avenue (D3297) to a point 25 metres west.

Alternative Route – for Avondale Road closure is Wheatsheaf Lane, B376 (Laleham Road, Penton Road, Penton Avenue, River Road and Avondale Avenue. For Wheatsheaf Lane closure is Avondale Avenue, Ruskin Road, B376 (Laleham Road) and Penton Road.

The Order is required to allow Affinity Water to carry out water chamber works and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents within the closure, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Street (D123) Frensham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 21 March 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Street (D123) Frensham between the access into the property known as “Lane End” and the access into the property known as “The Vicarage”. Alternative Route: The Street, Mill Lane, Pitt Lane, Shortfield Common Road, A287 (Frensham Road) and The Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Cappagh Contractors to facilitate sewer repair works and all associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 days, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 7 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Castle Street (D4015) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Castle Street (D4015) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4015) Quarry Street to its junction with (X7040) Castle Street Access to 39 to 42. Alternative Route: Castle Street, South Hill, Warwicks Bench, Warwicks Bench Road, Echo Pit Road, Pilgrims Way, (A281) Shalford Road, and (A281) Quarry Street. This Order is required to facilitate essential gas works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 07 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via walk boards, if required. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Dorking Road (A25) Gomshall as extends from its junction with (X25) Wonham Way to its junction with (D263) Beggars Lane. Fir Tree Road to Woking Road Footpath (D4026) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in the entire length of Fir Tree Road to Woking Road Footpath (D4026) Guildford. Alternative Route: (1) Firtree Road, Cedar Way, Stoughton Road and Woking Road; (2) Bellfields Road, Woking Road, and Stoughton Road. This Order is required to facilitate upgrading of pedestrian crossing, resurfacing and signal crossing works, and/or any other maintenance works, for or on behalf of Winvic Construction Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, as nightworks, between the hours of 10pm and 5am, during the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access through the closure, and all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access is affected by these closures.

Slyfield Green (D4027) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Slyfield Green (D4027) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4027) Woodlands Road to its junction with (X7251) Lockside. Alternative Route: Old Farm Road, and Waterside Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate carriageway improvement works for, or on behalf of Winvic Construction Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 phases, between the hours of 7am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 07 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency service vehicles, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Woking Road (A320) and (D4025) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Bus Lane Suspension Order (No.2) 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:

(a) temporarily prohibit traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice;

(b) Suspend the existing bus lane in that length of the southbound carriageway of Woking Road (A320) Guildford as extends from its junction with the roundabout situated at, or adjacent to, the junction of (A320) Woking Road and (D4023) Stoughton Road leading to its junction with (A25) Parkway imposed by “The County Council of Surrey Woking Road (A320) Guilford (Bus Lanes) (No.1) Order 2002”; and

(c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Woking Road (A320) Guildford Temporary Bus Lane Suspension Order 2025” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in this Notice.

This Order is required to facilitate upgrading of the pedestrian crossing, bus lane construction, bus stop layby construction, resurfacing and signal crossing works, and/or any other associated works, for or on behalf of Winvic Construction Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 April 2025

For Part (1) of the Schedule to this Notice, these works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm. For Part (2) of the Schedule to this Notice, these works are anticipated to be night works, and carried out between the hours of 10pm and 5am,

For part (1): Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. For part (2): Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access is affected by these closures.

Cowley Lane (D3009) Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1), and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of Cowley Lane (D3009) Chertsey as extends from its roundabout with (A320) Bell Bridge Road and (A320) Pyrcroft Road and for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction. This Order is required to allow water utility works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 weeks, between the hours of 10am and 1pm, within 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 30 March 2025 and continues in force the provisions introduced by “The Surrey County Council Cowley Lane (D3009) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2025” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 10 March 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Service Road Fronting 155 to 171 Horton Road (D3208) Stanwell Moor. This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of McFadden Utilities. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 9am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 26 March 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tuesley Lane (D169) Godalming as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Godalming College” to its junction with (D5430) Heathfield Close. Alternative Route: Tuesley Lane, Park Road, Busbridge Lane, Quartermile Road, and Tuesley Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate essential gas works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if required. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
