Notice Of Temporary Prohibition And Restriction Of Traffic – Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Various Locations Within Crewe/Nantwich

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Mill Street, Crewe – For the full extent.

Lockitt Street, Crewe – For the full extent.

Guillemot Close, Crewe – For the full extent.

Heron Crescent, Crewe – For the full extent.

Maw Green Road, Crewe – For the full extent.

This order will come into operation on Monday 24 March 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 4 April 2025.

Public Rights of Way Notice
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians

Public Footpath No. 16 Parish of Hassall Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 12th March 2026. 

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:

That Public Footpath No.16 in the parish of Hassall, which commences at its junction with Mill Lane at OS grid reference SJ 7598 5892 and runs in a generally northerly direction to its junction with Hassall BR No.15 at OS grid reference SJ 7623 5896. 

The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by a partially collapsed and unsafe bridge.

The closure continues the restriction that came into force on 12 September 2024 and will continue in force until 12 March 2026, or until the works required on the bridge are completed.

An alternative route is available via Hassall BR15.

This order does not prevent any pedestrians with access to premises situated on or adjacent to the public footpath only accessible from the path or by any emergency vehicle.
