NOTICE OF REJECTION OF AN
APPLICATION FOR THE
REGISTRATION OF LAND AS A TOWN OR VILLAGE GREEN.
To every reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described below, and to all others whom it may concern.
Application was made in February 2011 to Staffordshire County Council, 1, Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford
ST16 2LP by the late David Humpreys formerly of 20 The Dell Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS13 8AZ under section
15(1) of the Commons Act 2006 and in accordance with the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) (Interim
Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2007.
The application sought to the include in the register of town and village greens of the land described in the Schedule below which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green. It has been decided that the application be rejected for the reasons contained in the Inspectors Report dated 27 November 2024, a copy of which may be inspected at the following
offices, Staffordshire County Council, 1, Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford
ST16 2LP during normal office hours.

SCHEDULE
Description of the land claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green Land usually known as “Christchurch Scout Field or Top Field” as shown on the maps which accompanied the application being the area of open green space off the corner of Christchurch Lane at the church, with the A51 to the east. It extends from Martin
Heath Hall and the scout hut to the council allotments on its northern perimeter.
