(U946N Troqueer Road) (Temporary Traffic Management Order) Order 2025

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close the U946n Troqueer Road, Dumfries, from its junction with Pleasance Ave to its junction with Suspension Brae from 09:00 on 24th March 2025 to 17:00 on 23rd May 2025.

The closure is necessary to facilitate all works in association with Troqueer Road Junction Improvements Scheme. 

Alternative route available via Pleasance Ave, Robson Drive, Rochell Park and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained. Emergency access will not be available.

In addition to this, parking will be suspended on: U946n Troqueer Road, Dumfries, from its junction with Rochell Park to Rose Cottage, (both sides) & A745 Pleasance Ave/ St Michaels Bridge Road, from No. 13 Pleasance Ave to Halfords, (both sides).


(U436N Mcconnel Street) (Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) Order 2025

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U436n outside No.9 McConnel Street, Kirkconnel from 0930 to 2100 on 24/03/25. 

The closure is necessary to facilitate defective ironwork repair. 

Alternative route available via Burns Street, Glengaber Avenue, Greystone Avenue, Scott Street, Anderson Street, McConnel Street and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.


(A709 Dumfries To Lockerbie) (Temporary Traffic Regulation Order) Order 2025

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close A709 from Bellridding to Ryemuir,Torthorwald from 26/03/25 to 28/03/25 (0930 to 1500 daily). 

The closure is necessary to facilitate Carriageway resurfacing works. Alternative route available via : Westbound - B723, B721, A75(T), A709.

Eastbound- A709, A75(T), B7020, A709. 

Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
