What is happening?


Explosives Regulations 2014

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of regulation 14 of the Explosives Regulations 2014 (ER2014), Mosaic Laboratories has made a request to Shropshire Council for their assent to the granting of a licence for the manufacture and storage of explosives at Unit 47 Ditton Priors Industrial Estate Station Road, Ditton Priors, Bridgnorth, Shropshire WV16 6SS

A copy of the application and the draft licence is available to view at Licensing, Shropshire Council, Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY2 6ND.

This may be inspected by interested persons between the hours of 0900 to 1700 (Monday to Friday) It is advised, due to remote working, that an appointment be made prior to visiting, by e-mailing

licensing@shropshire.gov.uk

or phoning the customer service number on 0345 678 9026


Anyone who wishes to make representations on matters affecting the health and safety of persons other than the applicant’s employees that may arise out of the granting of the licence should send those representations to:

Licensing, Shropshire Council, Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY2 6ND

or by e-mail to: licensing@shropshire.gov.uk

Any representation must be made within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.

Any applicant who wishes to manufacture explosives must have local authority assent in addition to a licence from the HSE. The purpose of the local authority assent process is for the local authority to satisfy itself that any local factors bearing on the safety of the operation of the site or the health and safety of members of the public have been considered and taken into account by HSE in setting the licence conditions.
