The District of South Cambridgeshire (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Order 2023 (Amendment No. 13) Order 202-

Notice is hereby given that Cambridgeshire County Council proposes to make the above-named Order under the powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Traffic Management Act 2004 (as amended).

The effect of this Order will be to replace existing parking bays on Church Street, Stapleford; which provided parking for 30 minutes between 8am and 6pm with a new restriction prohibiting waiting on Monday-Friday between 8am-9am & 3pm-4pm. Free parking will still be provided within the bay between 9am-3pm with a maximum stay of 30 minutes.

Install a no waiting at any time restriction, on the south side of London Road, Stapleford, at a point approximately 37 metres south-east of its junction with Church Street in a south easterly direction for approximately 18 metres.

Cycle racks will be introduced outside the Spar at the junction of Church Street and London Road.

Notice of Intention to Install Pedestrian and Cycle Crossing Cambridgeshire County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to install a ‘zebra’ pedestrian crossing with a parallel pedal cycle crossing facility under powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, centred upon the following locations:-

Hinton Way, Great Shelford – at a point approximately 11 metres southwest of its junction with Chaston Road Mingle Lane, Great Shelford – at a point approximately 17 metres southeast of its junction with Hinton Way These constructs are intended to provide safe crossing places for both pedestrians and cyclists.

Highways Act 1980 S.65(1) and S.66(4) Conversion of Footways to Cycle Tracks

Cambridgeshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under the above-named Act, intends to convert part of the footways to shared use cycle tracks in Great Shelford and Stapleford: Around the junctions of Hinton Way, Chaston Road, and Mingle Lane, Great Shelford.

London Road (A1301), on its north side linking Church Street to London Road for a distance of approximately 15 metres, on its south side, from the existing pedestrian crossing in a southeasterly direction for a distance of approximately 125 metres.

The effect of this Order will be to prohibit waiting in Chaston Road, Great Shelford at any time, in the turning head located approximately 100metres northwest from its junction with Chaston Road.

Cambridgeshire County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act the effect of which will be to: Implement a 20mph speed limit in Chaston Road, Birch Trees Road, Orchard Road, Grain Close, Wheelers, Macauley Avenue, Meadow View, Macauley Square, Great Shelford.

Cambridgeshire County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 80, 82, 83, 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act the effect of which will be to:

Replace the existing 30mph speed limit in Shepreth with a 20mph. Implement a 30mph speed limit on Fowlmere Road from it’s junction with the A10 in a westerly direction to a point 30 metres east of its junction with Barron’s Green. A section of Barrington Road will remain 30mph at a point approximately 107 metres northwest of the trainline to a point 225 metres in a north westerly direction.

The effect of this Order will be to prohibit waiting at any time around the junctions of Whitecroft Road and High Street, Meldreth. High Street, eastern side from a point approximately 18 metres northeast of its junction with Station Approach, in a north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 12 metres.
