THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL (MULTIPLE WEST AREA PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from proceeding on foot along the following public
rights of way:
• Gowdall Footpath No 07 from the paths junction with Lodge Lane, eastwards to the paths junction with SNAIF15.
• Gowdall Footpath No 01 from the junction with SNAITH33 to the junction with GOWDF03.
• Snaith and Cowick Footpath No 14
the entire length.
• Snaith and Cowick Footpath No 20
the entire length.
• Snaith and Cowick Footpath No 29
the entire length.
• Snaith and Cowick Footpath No 22 from Pontefract Road to the paths junction with SNAIF21.
• Pollington Footpath No 03 the entire length.
• Pollington Footpath No 06 from the south bank of the canal south to Crow Croft Lane.
• Pollington Bridleway No 07 the entire length.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed maintenance work on overhead power lines, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed
11 September 2025. The alternative route for persons affected by the Order will be signposted on site. The Order will commence 12 March 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
