Mollanbowie Road - Planning Applications
What is happening?
The Town & Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997
Notice is hereby given that a NEW Tree Preservation Order has been made by the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority as planning authority for:
TPO Title: Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority Tree Preservation Order No 7 of 2024.
TPO Location: Sunningdale, Mollanbowie Road, Balloch, West Dunbartonshire G83 8LU
Community Council Area: Balloch And Haldane CC
Reason for making this Tree Preservation Order Two groups of trees located on the east side of Mollanbowie Road, Balloch in the gardens of the properties known as Sunningdale and Birchwood House, and opposite the Balloch Country Park entrance, are large and highly visible forming prominent features of the local landscape. Given the proximity of the trees to the public entrance to the park, the removal of the trees would have an adverse impact on the amenity of the area and the landscape character of this part of Balloch. It is in the interests of the amenity of the area to protect the trees with a Tree Preservation Order.
The Order came into effect on 27 February 2025 and there is an opportunity to make comments before a decision is made by the Planning & Access Committee.
