PROPOSED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER CITY OF COVENTRY (OVERDALE ROAD) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”).

The Council proposes to introduce a new 20mph speed limit on the entire lengths of Deer Park Close and Overdale Road. The Order is proposed for the purposes of public safety along the said lengths of road and to create a safer environment for pedestrians accessing and exiting Whoberly Hall Primary School.

A copy of this Notice, the draft Order, Plan and Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry.gov.uk/tro’.

NOTICE OF MAKING
CITY OF COVENTRY (PRIMROSE HILL STREET AREA) (RED ROUTE & WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), pursuant to its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”) which will come into operation on 24th February 2025 The Order has the effect of implementing a ‘red route’ extending along White Street, Primrose Hill Street, Victoria Street and part of King William Street and into the following adjoining side streets: Canterbury Street, Clifton Street, Cox Street, Nelson Street, Swanswell Street, Vine Street, Wellington Street.

The Order creates a ‘no stopping at any time’ restriction (shown by double red lines) along the said lengths of road where waiting is currently prohibited (as shown by double yellow lines). Existing limited waiting parking bays and loading bays remain in place, apart from Wellington Street where part of the existing limited waiting bay has been replaced with a ‘loading only, 8am-6pm’ bay.

A copy of this Notice, the sealed Order, Map Tiles S22 and S23 and Statement of Reasons may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry.gov.uk/tro’. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from date the order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
SYDNALL ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Sydnall Road commencing from its junction with Longford Road to its junction with Grindle Road.

The Order would come into effect at 08.00 hours on Saturday 1st March 2025 and is required to safely remove a fallen tree safely on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 17.00 hours on Saturday 1st March 2025.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Sydnall Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS SECOND ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Second Avenue from junction with Allard Way to junction with Weir Way.

The Order would come into effect from 8 March 2025 to allow to allow City Fibre to install new duct in the carriage way to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 8th March 2025.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Second Avenue.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

BATES ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Bates Road.

The Order would come into effect from 6 March 2025 to allow to allow Severn Trent Water to renew water connections to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 13th March 2025.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Bates Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

BALLENTINE ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Ballentine Road.

The Order would come into effect from 4 March 2025 to allow to allow Severn Trent Water to renew water connections to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 10th March 2025.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to the closed section Ballentine Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
ERITHWAY ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Erithway Road westbound from its junction with St Martins Road to its junction with Daleway Road.

The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Monday 3rd March 2025 and is required to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out water connection renewals on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 7th March 2025.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Erithway Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS VARIOUS ROADS (AS SET OUT IN THE SCHEDULE BELOW), COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on the roads detailed in the below Schedule.

The Order would come into effect at 07.00 hours on Friday 28th February 2025 and is required to enable carriageway resurfacing, road marking installation and associated works to take place safely on the said roads.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Monday 31st March 2025.

The roads will be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for various durations. The specific closure times for each road would apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site and access to premises would be maintained wherever possible.

VARIOUS ROADS, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on the lengths of road set out in the Schedule below

The Order would come into effect from 0700 hours on 3 March 2025 is required to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works, or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 7 March 2025.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
LOWER FORD STREET, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Lower Ford Street North bound commencing from its junction with Sky Blue Way and continuing to its junction with Hood Street. The Order would come into effect at 00.01 hours on Tuesday 4th March 2025 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to repair access chamber covers safely on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Tuesday 4th March 2025.

The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
FOOTPATHS SPON END, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be to prohibit pedestrians from entering and proceeding along Footpath Windsor Street for the extents specified in the Schedule below.

The Order would come into effect from Friday 28th February 2025 and is required for the demolition of Milestone House, Kerry House and Trafalgar House works to be undertaken safely. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is envisaged that the works would be completed by Thursday 28th August 2025. The specific closures times would apply as the signage indicates on site. Any alternative route for pedestrians would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for (a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform; (b) any persons in connection with the execution of the said works; (c) local pedestrian access
