Notice of Making of Definitive Map And Statement Modification Orders: Footpath GG 002 Addition Parish of The Gorge
Modification Order 2025 and Footpath GG 004 Addition Parish of The Gorge Modification Order 2025

The above Orders, made on 15 January 2025 under Section 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding the following public rights of way: 

Footpath GG 02 Addition Commencing at (OSGR) SJ 69396 02565 at the junction with Coalport memorial bridge following the old canal towpath in a South-Easterly direction for a distance of 290 Metres and the path having a width of 2 metres through the Coalport China Museum Carpark to SJ 69634 02397 then continuing in a South-Easterly direction for 215 metres following Reynolds Wharf Estate Road having a width of 2 metres to SJ 69827 02274 the continues on a unsurfaced path for 420 metres having a width of 2 metres to at SJ 70186 02132 at the Junction with Coalport Bridge

Footpath GG 004 Addition From the junction with Footpath 80 at GRSJ 66565 03682 the route passes through a gate then continues south-south-west as a 2.5 metre wide grass track for a distance of 23 metres to the junction with the River Severn at GRSJ 66553 03665.

Limitations: a gate at GRSJ 66565 03682.

A copy of the Orders and the Order Plans may be seen free of charge at Darby House, Lawn Central, Telford from 9.00 am to 4.30 pm on Monday to Friday, or can be obtained free of charge by emailing PRW@telford.gov.uk.
Any representations about or objections to the Orders must be sent in writing to the Associate Director: Policy and Governance, Borough of Telford &  Wrekin, Legal Services, Darby House, Lawn Central, Telford, TF3 4JA or via email to PRW@telford.gov.uk not later than 14 March 2025 Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the Orders, or any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, instead of submitting the Orders to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs may itself confirm the Orders. If the Orders are submitted to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
