Anglian Water Services Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006. The application is to vary licence serial number 6/33/56/*G/0198 which authorises the abstraction of water from groundwater from seven boreholes at National Grid References TF 72 11 and TF 72 10 for the purpose of public water supply.
The variation applied for is to extend the increase to the aggregate quantities of 21,160 cubic metres per day and 6,000,000 cubic metres per year beyond the current expiry date of 31 March 2025.
