As collection times vary during the festive period, containers should be presented for collection the night before uplift or by 6.30am.

The following seasonal arrangements will also apply :

• Excess paper and cardboard stored in plastic sacks and placed beside your recycling trolley will be collected, as will larger flat packed cardboard

• Use your red/black boxes for any excess glass, or plastics/cans. If you don’t have a box, bagged plastics/cans can be placed alongside the recycling trolley for uplift

• As the recycling trolley is a weekly uplift service, should your recycling trolley not be presented in time, materials should be stored until the next week, or can be taken to the nearest recycling centre or recycling point

• Up to 3 additional refuse sacks will be uplifted per household on the first general waste collection (green/grey bin) following Christmas Day. Place alongside your bin at the kerbside

• Real Christmas trees can be taken to the Recycling Centres for disposal.

Special Uplifts
To ensure collection before Christmas Day all uplift requests should be received by Friday 13 December 2024.

Uplift requests received after Friday 13 December 2024 will not be uplifted until Monday 6 January 2025 at the earliest.
