NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – King Edward Street, Macclesfield
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – King Edward Street, Macclesfield – From the junction of Churchill Way to the junction of Jordangate.
The alternative route will be via Jordangate, Hibel Road, Churchill Way Roundabout, Churchill Way and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Saturday 11 January 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 20 January 2025.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – London Road, Adlington
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic.
Restriction of traffic – London Road, Adlington – From the junction of Mill Lane to the Junction of Bonis Hall Lane.
This order will come into operation on Monday 7 April 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 14 April 2025.

Public Rights of Way Notice
The Cheshire East Borough Council Definitive Map and Statement (Addition of Public Footpath No. 45, Parish of Lyme Handley) Modification Order 2022
On the 16 October 2024 the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above named Order.
The effect of the order, as confirmed, is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding a footpath commencing on Public Footpath 13 and Public Footpath 22 Lyme Handley at OSGR SJ 9465 8241 running in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 43 metres to OSGR SJ 9468 8239 then continuing in a generally east south easterly direction for approximately 231 metres to OSGR SJ 9491 8237 then continuing in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 39 metres to OSGR SJ 9494 8239 then turning in a generally east south easterly direction for approximately 72 metres to OSGR SJ 9501 8237 where it joins Public Footpath 13 Lyme Handley.
A copy of the Order and Map has been deposited and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours in the Public Rights of Way office and at the offices of Cheshire East Borough Council Delamere House, Delamere Street, Crewe CW1 2LL.

The Order became operative as from the 16 October 2024 but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity of the Order on the ground that it is not within the powers of Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 of the Act have not been complied with in relation to it, he or she may, within 42 days from the 4 December 2024 make an application to the High Court under paragraph 12 of the said Schedule 15.
