DERBY CITY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS

Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON WHITAKER ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 12 December 2024 (09:30 to 15:00 Only)
WHERE: Whitaker Road, at its junction with Burton Road
REASON: Carriageway works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burton Road – Warwick Avenue – Carlton Road – Whitaker Road – Vicarage Avenue – Burton Road and the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON ST ANDREWS VIEW, DERBY
WHEN: 18 December 2024 (09:30) to 19 December 2024 (15:00)
WHERE: St Andrews View, from its junction with Barnard Road to its junction with Stratford Road REASON: Carriageway works
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Stratford Road – St Andrews View – Perth Street – Sussex Circus – St Andrew View and the same in the opposite direction

Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

TEMPORARY ONE WAY ORDER ON HIGHFIELD LANE, DERBY
WHEN: 07:00 25 November 2024 to 17:30 11 December 2024
WHERE: Highfield Lane, at its junction with Nottingham Road
REASON: Construction work ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Highfield Lane – Ordish Avenue – Walton Road – The Crescent – Meadow Lane – Nottingham Road

DERBY CITY COUNCIL (THE SPOT TAXIS) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) (AMENDMENT TO MAP BASED SCHEDULE) (NO.149) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2024

DERBY CITY COUNCIL made this Experimental Order on the 21st day of November 2024, which will become effective from the 2nd day of December 2024 for a period of 18 months, under Section 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf:

The purpose of the order is to bring into effect the following:

No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Taxis) to replace existing

No Waiting (At Any Time) (Except Taxis) *LGMPA

• Osmaston Road – on the west side only in the existing taxi rank from no.18 to The Salvation Army Citadel, approximately 40 metres long

• London Road – on the east side only in the existing taxi rank outside of no.1, approximately 30 metres long Loading Only (At any Time) to replace existing No Waiting (At Any Time) (Except Taxis) *LGMPA

• Osmaston Road – on the west side only in the existing taxi rank outside no.40, approximately 12 metres long

A copy of the Experimental Order together with maps which show the definitive extents of the Order and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the Experimental Order, may be inspected on Derby City Council’s website at the following URL: https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro

Derby City Council will be considering, in due course, whether the provisions of these Experimental Orders should be continued in force indefinitely.

Anyone wishing to object to the Experimental Order continuing in force indefinitely, should state their grounds of objection, sending it in writing to Derby City Council, Traffic and Transportation, Communities and Place, The Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS or by email to traffic.management@derby.gov.uk to be received no later than the 1st of June 2025.
