What is happening?
NOTICE OF THE MAKING OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 – SECTION 257
THE WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
BRIDLEWAY 55 WILLENHALL (PART), BETWEEN WEDNESFIELD ROAD AND
TEMPLE BAR, WILLENHALL (KNOWN LOCALLY AS CALVES CROFT), PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024
The above Order was made on 6 th November 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to DIVERT:
(i) That Part of Bridleway 55 Willenhall over the land shown outlined and hatched in red on the attached Order Plan from point A at Temple Bar (grid reference SO 9625 9893), for a length of 142m and width varying between 1.7m and 4.2m, in a generally north- westerly direction, to point B (grid reference SO 9620 9906), at the north-west corner of RK Transport Limited.
The effect of the Order will be to PROVIDE A NEW ALTERNATIVE BRIDLEWAY:
(ii) As shown outlined and hatched in blue, from point B (grid reference SO 9620 9906), at the north-west corner of RK Transport, for a distance of 53m and a width of 3m in a generally easterly direction to point C (grid reference SO 9629 9909) at Temple Bar.
Footpaths to be RETAINED:
(iii) That part of Bridleway 55 Willenhall, as shown outlined and cross hatched in blue from point B on the Order Map (grid reference SO 9620 9906), at the north-west corner of RK Transport, for a distance of 187m and width varying between 2.9m and 7.3m, to point D at the junction with Wednesfield Road (grid reference SO 9612 9922), shall be retained and unaffected by the Order.
A copy of the Order and the Order Map contained in it may be inspected free of charge at Lichfield Street Hub (Walsall Central Library and Archives), Lichfield Street, Walsall, WS1 1TR, Mondays to Saturdays 8.30am – 5.00pm. Photocopies of the Order and map may be taken free of charge.
Any representations or objections to the Order may be sent in writing by email to PublicRightsofWay@Walsall.gov.uk, or by post to Senior Rights of Way Officer, Engineering & Transportation, Civic Centre, Darwall Street, Walsall, WS1 1DG, by no later than Friday 10th January 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
