What is happening?
EXTENSIONS TO STAPLEHURST CONSERVATION AREA BOUNDARIES: 5 November 2024
Description of proposal:
The extension will add approximately 139.5 hectares to the conservation area to the southern side of the current conservation area. It is the area which includes the historic estate of Iden Manor.
Reason:
Iden Manor is an important aspect of the character of Staplehurst as it was the main manor house within the Village. The gardens have been landscaped to suit the manor houses, and key details remain.
