Notice of an application for the registration of land as a Town or Village Green To every reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described in the Schedule below, and to all others whom it may concern.
Application has been made to South Gloucestershire Council (as Commons Registration Authority) under Section 15(1) of the Commons Act 2006 and the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) (Interim Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2007. The application is made by Robert Lavis of 35 Park Lane, Kendleshire, Bristol, BS36 1AT.
The applicant seeks the inclusion in the register of town and village greens of the land described in the Schedule below which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green as at the 23 January 2024 by virtue of (as set out at paragraph 7 of the application):

Any person wishing to object to the registration of the land as a town or village green should address their objection in writing, setting out the facts upon which they rely, to the Deputy Monitoring Officer and Head of Legal Services, South Gloucestershire Council, Badminton Road, Yate, South Gloucestershire BS37 5AF (marked for the attention of Andrew Griffiths) on or before Friday 19 December 2024 Important Note.
Any representations that are submitted and taken into account by the Authority in reaching a decision on the application cannot be treated as confidential and will be copied to the applicant for comment and may be disclosed to other interested parties.
If the registration authority is satisfied that the land described below qualifies for registration as a town or village green, it will so register the land.

SCHEDULE
Description of the land claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green Land at the Ridings including Stub Ridings, Mead Ridings and the Ridings Field located at Wickwar Road, Chipping Sodbury, BS376GA.
(Hicks Avenue, Emersons Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Hicks Avenue which extends from Hill Close to Emerson Way. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with tarmac defect repair works. The order became operative from 12 November 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am to 3:30pm. Alternative route: Thomas Avenue, Emerson Way and vice versa.
(Public Footpath POL/12/20, Warmley) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of Public Footpath POL/12/20 which extends from the entrance of POL/12/20 to POL/12/10. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon the removal and replacement of existing bridge. The order became operative from 11 November 2024 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 6 months duration. Alternative route: follow signed diversion.
(Unnamed Access Road to Warmley Park School, Warmley) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Unnamed Access Road to Warmley Park School which extends from Footpath POL/12/10 eastwards for 50m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon the removal and replacement of existing bridge on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 11 November 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 10 months duration. Alternative route: proceed north on Tower Road North to its junction with A420 High Street. Left turn (west) along A420 onto Deanery Road to its junction with Baden Road. Left turn (south) into Baden Road, then left turn into new un-named road across existing playing fields (newly constructed road by South Gloucester Council).
(Cloisters Road, Winterbourne) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Cloisters Road which extends from Factory Road south eastwards for 50m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with lead replacement works. The order became operative from 11 November 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Nicholls Lane, High Street, Watleys End Road, Factory Road and vice versa.

In the event that an appeal is made against the decision of the Council to refuse to grant planning permission for the proposed development, and that appeal then proceeds by way of the expedited procedure under the written representations procedure, any representations made to the council about this application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations.
SCHEDULE 3 NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015
NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15 DEPARTURE FROM DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Proposed developments at Bristol Zoo Project, Blackhorse Hill, Easter Compton, Bristol, South Gloucestershire. I give notice that Bristol, Clifton and West Of England Zoological Society Ltd. have applied to South Gloucestershire Council for Hybrid planning application for the phased delivery of a masterplan for Bristol Zoo Project covering:
i) demolition of existing buildings to facilitate site-wide development, installation of temporary construction access route across Tower Meadows, temporary alterations to the existing Hollywood Lane access, the temporary deconstruction of Grade II listed entrance gates, installation of temporary gates during construction and subsequent reinstatement of access and listed entrance gates
ii) detailed approval for phases comprising erection of Operations Hub, laying of Northern Car Park and associated overflow car parks, internal road infrastructure, access route to Hollywood Lane, access route along Blackhorse Hill and through Blackhorse Woods, secure perimeter fencing, gates and associated landscaping and infrastructure; and

The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the development plan in force for the area in which the land to which the application relates is situated.
