Choice of School - Placing Requests
It is usual practice for children to attend their local school. However, parents/carers who wish to make a placing request can now submit an online form.
The Authority would wish to receive all placing requests by no later than the first week in February 2025 for school session commencing August 2025.
Please refer to the Glasgow City Council website Schools and Learning – Enrolment – Placing Request for further information on making a placing request and to apply online.
It is essential for parents/carers to register their child for education at their local school before submitting their placing request form. Online applications to register at your local catchment school can be found by visiting Glasgow City Council website – Schools and Learning – Enrolment – Starting Primary School.
Paper applications may be submitted for your P1 registration and placing request. These can be obtained from Glasgow City by contacting: 0141 287 8000.
