SECTION 70 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1976
VARIATION OF FEES FOR THE LICENSING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE AND PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLES AND THE LICENSING OF OPERATORS OF PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLES – OPERATORS’ LICENCES
NOTICE is hereby given by the Council of the City of Sunderland of City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland, SR1 3AA (“the Council”), that it proposes to vary the fees to be paid in respect of the licensing of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles and Operators of Private Hire Vehicles, ie. Operators’ Licences.
Details of the proposed variations to Vehicle and Operators’ Licences are given in the Schedules below.
Objections to the proposed variations should be made in writing and received by 4.45pm on Friday 22 November 2024 by Dawn Howley, Principal Licensing Officer of City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland, SR1 3AA by e-mailing licensing@sunderland.gov.uk
If no objections to the variations are duly made, or if all objections duly made are withdrawn, the variations will come into operation on the 1 December 2024 or the date of withdrawal of the objection, or if more than one, of the last objection, whichever date is the later.
If objections are duly made and are not withdrawn, the Council will set a further date not later than two months after the 1 December 2024, on which the variations will come into force with, or without modifications as decided by the Council after consideration of the objections.
A copy of this Notice has been deposited and may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours at the reception of the City of Sunderland of City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland, SR1 3AA (8.30am – 5pm Monday – Thursday and 8.30am– 4.30pm on Fridays), until 4.30pm on Friday 22 November 2024.
