What is happening?

STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES
GAMBLING ACT 2005
(Licensing Authority Policy Statement)
(England & Wales) Regulations 2006
The Gambling Act 2005 requires the Council to prepare, adopt and publish a “Statement of Principles” setting out the Licensing Authority’s approach to applications under the Act and the information it expects applicants to provide. Under Section 349 of the Gambling Act 2005 this statement must be reviewed and re-published every three years.
The current Statement of Principles has now been reviewed and was adopted at a full meeting of the Council on 2nd October 2024. It will be published on 2 nd January 2025 and will have effect from 31st January 2025 until 31st January 2028.
