C4008 Bigrigg and C4016 Haile, Cumberland – Temporary Road Closures for Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C4008 BIGRIGG AND C4016 HAILE)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
C4008 Bigrigg from a point approx. 420m south west of its junction with the A595 Springfield Road, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 140m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C4008, Linethwaite Road and A595 Springfield Road.
Duration: From 14 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/I1836)
C4016 Haile from a point approx. 120m west of its junction with Hardgates Road, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 80m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C4016, A595 and Hardgates Road.
Duration: From 31 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/I2148)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
