LONDON BOROUGH OF TOWER HAMLETS

NEW LOCAL PLAN - REGULATION 19 PUBLIC CONSULTATION

In accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (The Council) is consulting on a draft new Local Plan (Regulation 19). The draft new Local Plan is also supported by an Integrated Impact Assessment as required by the Environmental Assessment of Plan and Regulations 2004.

Receipt of representations on the new Local Plan is a valuable part of the plan-making process. The publication of a proposed submission version of the draft local plan is a statutory stage within the plan-making process. The purpose of this stage of the plan-making process (regulation-19) is to invite representations on whether the document is 'sound' and 'legally compliant'.

During the consultation a number of in person and virtual events will be held. All information for these can be found on our let's talk page, our bespoke website which allows you to view all information on the new Local Plan and its supporting documents. Hard copies of the new Local Plan will be available for inspection at the Tower Hamlets Town Hall 160 Whitechapel Road, London E1 1BJ and all Tower Hamlets Idea Stores.

The consultation on the draft new Local Plan will run between Friday 13 September for a period of 6 weeks until Monday 28 October. To find out more please visit let's talk page https://talk.towerhamlets.gov.uk/local-plan or contact localplan@towerhamlets.gov.uk
