What is happening?

Renewal Application for Premises to be Approved as a Venue for Marriages in Pursuance of Section 26(1)(bb) of the Marriages Act 1949 and Civil Partnerships in Pursuance of Section 6(3A)(a) of the
Civil Partnership Act 2004

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 30 August 2024, Palatine Chambers Limited of 1 Union Street, Howden House, Sheffield, S1 2SH applied to Sheffield City Council to grant an Approval to use the following premises:

Radisson Blu Hotel, 30 Pinstone Street, Sheffield, S1 2HN

for Marriages and Civil Partnerships conducted by a Superintendent Registrar and a Registrar between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Sunday inclusive; subject to the availability of Registry Service Staff.

Any person wishing to object to the intended application may do so by letter (stating in full the grounds on which the objection is based), addressed to the Licensing Service, Block C, Staniforth Road Depot, Staniforth Road, Sheffield, S9 3HD.

Any such letter must arrive by 3 October 2024 not less than 21 clear days after the date of advertisement of this Notice.

Any person who may wish to inspect the application and the plan of the premises which identifies the room or rooms in which a Marriage or Civil Partnership may, if approved, be solemnised may do so by calling at the Licensing Service, Block C, Staniforth Road Depot, Staniforth Road, Sheffield, S9 3HD between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday until such time as the application has been determined
by the Local Authority or the application has been withdrawn.
