(MICROSURFACING – VARIOUS ROADS, DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

The Council hereby give notice under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of their intention to temporarily close the following roads at the following locations:

U179s Rhone Park Crescent, Crossmichael

U454s Dee Avenue, Castle Douglas

U451s Cairnsmore Road, Castle Douglas

U408s Douglas Terrace, Castle Douglas

U400s Queen Street, Castle Douglas

U411s Academy Street, Castle Douglas

The closures are necessary in the interests of road safety to facilitate carriageway surface dressing works. The closures are planned to be undertaken during the period of 16th September 2024 to 18th October 2024, 9am to 5pm daily, and shall have effect only at such times as indicated by appropriate signs.

Works will be carried out as part of a rolling closure, with road reopening as works progress.

Emergency Vehicle access will be maintained at all times. Vehicle and pedestrian access to properties within the closed section will be maintained where practicable. Affected properties will be letter dropped appropriately.
