Lower Beeding - Neighbourhood Development Plan
What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE OF CONSULTATION OF THE LOWER BEEDING NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLAN (2031)
FOCUSSED CONSULTATION ON WATER NEUTRALITY – THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING (GENERAL) REGULATIONS 2012 (AS AMENDED)
Lower Beeding Parish Council has prepared Lower Beeding Neighbourhood Development Plan (LBNDP). The Plan sets out a vision for the future of the parish and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally. On 14 September 2021, local planning authorities covered by the Water Resource Zone (north) received a Position Statement from Natural England on water neutrality. This explained that it could not be concluded that water extraction was not having an impact on the Arun Valley sites and that new development must not add to this impact. To demonstrate the neighbourhood plan addresses the issue of water neutrality and to meet the legal requirements, further work has been commissioned and modifications made to the neighbourhood plan. This is a focussed consultation on the Lower Beeding Neighbourhood Plan (referendum version); supporting documentation; the introduction of Policy 6: Water Neutrality and modifications to Policies 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Representations are invited between 2 September 2024 to 14 October 2024 for 6 weeks. To view the plan, accompanying documents and to download the comment form please click on the link below:
