Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath CH23 near Parkland Road from the 28 September 2024.

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months.

The path is to be closed because of utility works in association with a housing development.

The alternative route is via a diversion on site which will be signed for the duration of the closure.

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH EE262 EASTRY) PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT

AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

The above Order was made on the 21 st day of August 2024 under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 and will extinguish the entire width of that length of Public Footpath numbered EE262 at Eastry, commencing from its junction with Thornden Road and Thornden Lane at NGR TR 2883 5232 (Point A) and running in a north-westerly direction for 291 metres to its junction at Shingleton Farm at NGR TR2871 5258 (Point B), as shown between the points A and B on the Order Plan.

All distances are approximate, all directions are general.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Offices of Dover District Council, Council Offices, Honeywood Lane, White Cliffs Business Park, whitfieild Dover CT16 3BP or at the Kent History and Library Centre James Whatman Way, Maidstone, ME14 1LQ, Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased there at the price of £5. Any representation about or objection to the order must be sent or delivered in writing to Mr Chris Wade at Kent County Council (address as shown above or below) no later than the 7 th day of October 2024. Please state the grounds on which it is made.

Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate should the case be referred to it for determination.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Kent County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath HB85 between Scanlons Bridge Road and Burmarsh Road from 30 September 2024.

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen in December 2024.

The path is to be closed because works are planned on or near it.

The alternative route is via Dymchurch and Burmarsh Road.

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpaths NG2 and NS317 between Public Footpath NG3 and Public Bridleway N318 from the 09 September 2024

The paths will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that they will reopen 25 October 2024

The paths are to be closed because resurfacing works are planned on or near them.

The alternative route for pedestrians is via Public Footpath NG1, the Saxon Shore Way. An alternative route for cyclists is via local roads and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

The alternative route is via Chestnut Street and School Lane, and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS ZR355 (part) & ZR673 (part),THROWLEY)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

On the 29th August 2024 the Kent County Council confirmed the above Order under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of that Order as confirmed is to divert the entire width of (a) that length of public footpath numbered ZR355 which commences at the unaffected length of public footpath ZR355 at NGR TQ 9969 5502 (Point A) and runs in a north-easterly to east-north-easterly direction for 164 metres to NGR TQ 9984 5509, and then in a northerly to easterly direction for 71 metres to NGR TQ 9989 5512 before running in a north-northeasterly direction for 68 metres to NGR TQ 9992 5518 (Point C). As shown by the bold continuous line between points A-B-C on the Order Plan.

And (b) that length of public footpath numbered ZR673 which commences at its connection with public footpath ZR355 at NGR TQ 9984 5510 (Point B) and runs in a west-northwesterly direction for 95 metres to the unaffected section of ZR673 at NGR TQ 9976 5513 (Point D). As shown by the bold continuous line between points B-D on the Order plan

and add (a) a new length of public footpath numbered ZR355, with a width of 2.5 metres, which commences at the aforementioned Point A and runs in a northerly direction for 130 metres to NGR TQ 9970 5515 (Point E)

and (b) a new length of public footpath numbered ZR673 which commences at the aforementioned Point C and runs in a south-westerly direction for 172 metres to the aforementioned Point D. As shown by the bold broken lines on the Order Plan.

All directions general, all distances approximate.

The Order comes into force on the 26th September 2024, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within 6 weeks from 6 September 2024, make an application to the High Court.

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF KENT

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (RESTRICTED BYWAY MR114 AT EAST MALLING AND LARKFIELD)

DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

The above Order was made on 14 August 2024 under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. If confirmed, it will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by upgrading a Public Footpath with a width of 3.0 metres which commences at its junction with The Heath at NGR TQ 6929 5626 (Point A) and runs in a generally south southwestern direction for 686 metres to where the path terminates at the northern point of the Kings Hill estate at NGR TR 6884 5578 (Point B). As shown between Points A and B on the Order Plan.

DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT ORDER 2024

The above Order was made on the 21 st day of August 2024 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and will divert: The entire width of that length of Public Footpath MR614 commencing from a point on the existing length of path at NGR TQ5906 5663 74 metres to the north of its connection with Oldbury Lane (Point A) then running westwards for 10 metres to NGR TQ5905 5663 (Point B) to then running North for 28 metres to NGR TQ5905 5669 (Point C) then running west for 28 metres to NGR TQ5902 5670 (Point D) to then run north-eastwards for 150 metres to the junction with the unaffected length of Public Footpath MR614 at NGR TQ5913 5680 (Point E). As shown between the points A, B, C, D and E on the Order Plan. And will provide: A new length of Public Footpath to be numbered MR614 and with an initial width of 2.5 metres commencing from the afore mentioned Point A NGR TQ5906 5663 and running adjacent to the boundary fencing north for 66 metres to NGR TQ5906 5670 (Point F) and then, with a width of 2 metres, running west north-west for 24 metres to NGR TQ5904 5671 (Point G) and then running north-east for 128 metres to reconnect with the unaffected length of Public Footpath MR614 at NGR TQ5913 5680 (Point E). As shown between the points A, F, G and E on the Order Plan.

The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 14 February 2020, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Footpath WT268 has been extended for a further 8 months, until the 14 March 2025

The path is closed between Badsell Road and NGR TQ 6667 4389, for a distance of 235 metres.

The alternative route is available and will be signed for the duration of the closure.
