Perry Hill Road & Crocketts Lane - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Perry Hill Road, Oldbury) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Perry Hill Road, Oldbury from north of its junction with Brennand Road to south of its junction with Holly Road. A traffic diversion route will be signed for Perry Hill Road via Wolverhampton Road, Hagley Road West, Perry Hill Lane, Perry Hill Road and vice versa. A second traffic diversion route will be signed for Perry Hill Road via Tame Road, Queensway, and Wolverhampton Road for northbound access to Perry Hill Road. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work for necessitating the closure of Perry Hill Road is expected to be completed by 01/09/2024 effective from 01/09/2024. Purpose – To facilitate junction improvement works by RW Services Ltd working on behalf of SMBC.

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Crocketts Lane, Smethwick) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Crocketts Lane, Smethwick from its junction with A457 Soho Way to its junction with Regent Street. Diversion routes will be signed as follows: For vehicles approaching from a westerly direction along Soho Way via A457 Tollhouse Way and A4040 High Street. Vehicles approaching from an easterly direction along A457 Tollhouse Way will be picked up at the junction of A4030 High Street and diverted along High Street to Crocketts Lane. Through traffic wishing to access Crocketts Lane off A4030 High Street will be diverted via A4040 High Street, Tollhouse Way (west bound), Rolfe Street and Hill Street where the A457 Tollhouse Way/Soho Way can be rejoined. Brook Street will, in addition be closed at the point of its junction with Crocketts Lane with vehicles being diverted via Cutler Street, Baldwin Street, A457 Soho Way and vice-versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 06/09/24 effective from 02/09/24 (24hr). Purpose – To facilitate trial holes by Cadent Gas to establish the correct location of assets.
