South Gloucestershire Council (Footpaths LIA 17 (Part) and LIA 18 (Part) at Two Pools Farm, Iron Acton) Public Path Diversion Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the provisions of Article 2 of the above order made on 1 November 2023 and confirmed on 10 January 2024 have now been complied with. The order became operative from 6 August 2024.
(Bury Hill, Hambrook) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Bury Hill which extends from Church Lane eastwards for 160m.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with duct installation works. The order became operative from 19 August 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 weeks duration.
Alternative route: Mill Road, Dragon Road, Down Road and vice versa
(Various Roads, Stoke Gifford) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon overhead cable removal works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 23 August 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that the works at each location will be carried out between the hours specified in column 2 on the dates specified in column 3 of the said Schedule.

(Patch Elm Lane, Rangeworthy) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Patch Elm Lane which extends from Wotton Road westwards for 405m.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with flood alleviation scheme works. The order will be operative from 9 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration.
No alternative route available: No through road
(Castle Farm Road, Hanham) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Castle Farm Road which extends from a point 60m north east of Riverside Way north eastwards for 26m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order will be operative from 10 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Alternative route: Riverside Way, Abbots Road and vice versa
(Cloisters Road, Winterbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Cloisters Road which extends from a point 130m south east of Factory Road south eastwards for 130m.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with new electricity supply works. The order will be operative from 9 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 weeks duration.
Alternative route: Cloisters Road, North Road and Cloisters Road, Nicholls Lane and vice versa
(Brook Street, Chipping Sodbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Brook Street which extends from a point 96m north west of High street north westwards for 40m.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon lead replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 9 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration.
No alternative route available: No through road
(Shellard Road and Station Road, Filton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.
This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon Arena ducting works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 15 August 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 months duration.
Schedule: Shellard Road – that length which extends from A4174 south eastwards for 30m; Station Road – that length which extends from Shellard Road eastwards for 475m.
Alternative route: Shellard Road (part unaffected), Mackie Road, Filton Avenue, Station Road (part unaffected) and vice versa.
