What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE

Wakefield Council gives notice that on 24th July 2024 at a meeting of the full Council, it resolved, under Section 13, to apply those provisions contained within Sections 14 to 17 (inclusive) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 (as amended), which require any person carrying on the business of: Acupuncture; Cosmetic-piercing; Electrolysis; Semi-permanent skin colouring; Tattooing; within the Wakefield area, to be registered for each activity undertaken, at the premises where the person will be practising. These provisions shall come
into force across the district from 1st November 2024. It shall be an offence to fail to register, fail to display a relevant registration certificate or copy of the byelaws within the premises and to fail to comply with one or more of the relevant byelaws.
