ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENTION NOT TO PREPARE AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT Regulation 5 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Land Drainage Improvement Works (Amended) Regulations 1999 SI 1999/1783
Kenwith Dam, Bideford
The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to Kenwith Dam, Bideford flood storage reservoir located at Land East of Northam Road, Bideford, Devon, EX39 3LA. NGR: SS 44784 27273. The proposed improvement works will involve tree and vegetation clearance, improved resilience to the inlet flow control structure, improved downstream drainage to the dam, control building improvements, and access ramp improvements. These works will ensure continued flood risk reduction to homes and businesses in Bideford.
The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them.
