PRE-APPLICATION CONSULTATION:
Prospective Major Application
Proposed wind farm consisting of up to five turbines with a tip height of up to 200m to tip and a generating capacity of up to 30MW. The proposed wind farm would be located immediately east of Dunwan Dam, approximately 2.1 km south of Eaglesham, and 5 km south-east of Newton Mearns (Site Centre: NS 256320 649276).
The proposed development would include a number of ancillary elements such as access tracks, crane hard standings and a control building, as well as temporary features such as a construction compound and laydown areas.
In-person consultation events will be held, where members of the project team representing the applicant and developer, Wind Estate, and the agent, Green Cat Renewables, will be available for a drop-in. The dates, times and locations of these events will be held on the 2nd of July 3-7 pm 2024 and 3-7 pm, 22nd of August 2024 at South Eglinton Arms (Best Western), Gilmour Street, Eaglesham, G76 0LG.

Please note that all comments must be sent to the above and are NOT representations to East Renfrewshire Council. There will be an opportunity to make formal representations to the Council when an application is made.
