What is happening?

(GUID NYCHBURRIS FESTIVAL) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2024

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close roads around Dumfries Town Centre as follows:
• 09/6/24, 10:30 – 11:00, Buccleuch St, High St, Nith Pl, St Michael St.
• 09/6/24, 12:00 – 12:30, St Michael St, Nith Pl, High St, Buccleuch St.
• 10/6/24, 19:00 – 19:20, Buccleuch St, Church Cres, High St.
• 10/6/24, 19:45 – 20:00, High St, Church Cres, Academy St.
• 15/6/24, 08:00 – 16:00, High St and Bank St (between Irish St and the High St).
• 15/6/24, 12 noon - 21:00, Newall Terr (Loreburn St to Catherine St).
• 15/6/24, 16:30 – 21:00, Newall Terr (Catherine St to Lovers Walk), Lovers Walk, St Mary’s St, English St, Shakespeare St, Nith Pl, Nith St, Whitesands, Church Cres, Academy St, Loreburn St.
• 15/6/24, 16:30 - 21:00, Buccleuch St.
• 15/6/24, 16:30 - 21:00, the ‘No Right Turn’ prohibition from Charlotte St into Buccleuch St is temporarily suspended.

The closures are necessary to hold Guid Nychburris events. There are no alternative routes.

(VARIOUS CAR PARKS) (USE RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 1985 (AS AMENDED) SUSPENSION OF USE OF NEWALL TERRACE (COUNCIL OFFICES, LOREBURN LESSER HALL AND NORTH SIDE) CAR PARKS, DUMFRIES

In accordance with the provisions of Article 10 of the above Traffic Regulation Order, the Council gives notice that the use of the Newall Terrace (Council Offices and North Side) car parks and Loreburn Lesser Hall car park shall be suspended from 12:00 to 21:00 15/06/24 to accommodate use associated with the annual Guid Nychburris parade. There will be no vehicular or pedestrian access permitted other than in connection with, and as authorised by, the organisers of the event.

(GUID NYCHBURRIS FESTIVAL – CORNETS BALL PROCESSION) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2024

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close Bank Street, High Street, Queensberry Street, Great King Street, Loreburn Street, Newall Terrace to Loreburn Hall on 12/6/24 from 21:00 to 21:15 hrs. No alternative route is available. Minor delays should be expected for the duration of parade. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U215N KIRKCONNEL LEA) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2024

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U215n from its junction with A710 to its junction with U218n at Shambellie Grange, New Abbey from 0930 to 1530 on 10/06/24. The closure is necessary to facilitate safe access to underground network. Alternative route available via A710, U215n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(C31N MOUSWALD VILLAGE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2024

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C31n outside 33 Kedar Bank, Mouswald from 0800 to 1600 on 11/06/24. The closure is necessary to facilitate septic tank emptying. Alternative route available via B724, B725m, A75(T), C31n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(C10N NEW ABBEY – BEESWING) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2024

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close C10n at 8 Craigieside, New Abbey from 1000 to 1130 on 12/06/24. The closure is necessary to facilitate Scottish Water tanker access. Alternative route available via A710, A780, A711, C10n and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
