NOTICE OF CLOSURE OF NAB WOOD CREMATORIUM BINGLEY ROAD, SHIPLEY BD18 4BG
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council being by virtue of the Local Government Act 1972, a "burial authority" for the purposes of owning and managing Crematoria pursuant to The Cremation Act 1902, intends on Monday, 1st July 2024 to formally close -
NAB WOOD CREMATORIUM, BINGLEY ROAD, SHIPLEY BD18 4BG
The purpose of this Notice is to draw attention to the fact the Nab Wood Crematorium is already shut and no longer in use and is redundant and surplus to requirements and has been replaced by the new modern Shay Grange Crematorium, Long Lane, Shipley BD9 6ST.
IMPORTANT - The Council having closed Nab Wood Crematorium is under a duty to publish formal Notice of the closure but in doing so it is important to note that it is only the Crematorium and its cremators which will no longer be in use and that Nab Wood Cemetery and the grounds will remain open to the public and continue to be maintained.
