Northmoor Sand & Gravel, Application To Abstract Water

ENVIRONMENT AGENCY Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Water Act 2003) Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water

S.D.C Builders Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Northmoor Sand & Gravel within an area between National Grid References SP 51461 07509, SP 51529 07566, SP 51577 07522 and SP 51495 07471.

The application is to abstract water as part of the dewatering process at a rate of up to:

• 26 cubic metres an hour

• 610 cubic metres a day

• 50,000 cubic metres a year

• All year.

The water will be discharged into a foul sewer.

Further details are: This activity will cease on completion of the basements being constructed.
