South Marine Drive - Parking Places Changes
What is happening?

(AMENDMENT NO 56) (SOUTH MARINE
DRIVE, BRIDLINGTON) ORDER 2024
1. On 18 May 2024 East Riding of Yorkshire Council
is to make this Order to amend The East Riding of
Yorkshire Council (On Street Parking Places) (Civil
Enforcement) (Consolidation) Order 2021 the effect
of which will be to remove six on-street parking
places and replace them with six on-street Electric
Vehicle recharging only parking spaces at South
Marine Drive, Bridlington to allow Electric Vehicles to
recharge at all times but during the period 8am-6pm,
Monday to Sunday, a four hour time limit will apply,
with no return to any South Marine Drive electric
vehicle recharging parking space within four hours.
Outside of the 8am-6pm period, Electric Vehicles
may remain parked for more than four hours in case
longer term recharging is required. The existing Pay
and Display fees in operation at South Marine Drive,
Bridlington will apply to the six dedicated Electric
Vehicle parking spaces. In addition, a tariff will apply
for electricity usage during Electric Vehicle recharging
and this will be collected via the electric vehicle
charger network app.
2. A copy of the Order and relevant plan may be
examined during normal office hours at Bridlington
Customer Service Centre, Town Hall, Quay Road,
Bridlington, YO16 4LP (Ref: MG/82256).
3. If you wish to question the validity of this Order or
of any provision contained within it on the grounds
that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that
any requirement of that Act or any instrument made
under it has not been complied with in relation to the
Order, you may, within six weeks from 18 May 2024
apply to the High Court for this purpose.
