What is happening?

(SURFACE DRESSING – VARIOUS ROADS, DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

The Council hereby give notice under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of their intention to temporarily close the following roads at the following locations:

The closures are necessary in the interests of road safety to facilitate carriageway surface dressing works. The closures are planned to be undertaken during the period of 14th May 2024 to 30th September 2024 and shall have effect only at such times as indicated by appropriate signs.

Emergency Vehicle access will be maintained at all times. Vehicle and pedestrian access to properties within the closed section will be maintained where practicable.

(MONIAIVE FOLK FESTIVAL CHILDRENS PARADE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2024

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close various roads in Moniaive on Saturday 11th May 2024 from 15:00 to 15:20. Parade route: High Street from George Hotel to corner of Craigdarroch Arms, left down Chapel Street to Moniaive Primary School. The closure is necessary to facilitate activities associated with Moniaive Folk Festival Childrens Parade. No alternative route is available. Minor delays should be expected for the duration of parade. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(C204N LOVERS WALK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2024

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily suspend parking on C204a Lovers Walk, Dumfries from the junction of Watling Street to No.38 (both sides) from 0700 on 13/05/24 to 2359 on 24/05/24. The parking suspension is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new mains cable for car charging point. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(U808N LEAFIELD ROAD) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2024

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close U808n Leafield Road, Dumfries near SPEN entrance from 0930 to 1800 on 14/05/24. The closure is necessary to facilitate iron work repairs. Alternative route available via Brooms Road, Annan Road, Leafield Road and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
