Overview
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Part 1 of Schedule 3 of The School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained Schools) (England) Regulations 2013 (‘the Prescribed Alterations Regulations’) and in conjunction with Parts 2 and 3 and Schedule 3 of the Education and Inspections Act 2007 (as amended by the Education Act 2013) that West Sussex County Council, County Hall, West Street, Chichester PO19 1RG, intends to transfer to a new site the following community school with effect from 1 September 2025:
Jessie Younghusband Primary School, Woodlands Lane, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 5PA.
All children attending Jessie Younghusband Primary School at the time the decision is effective, would continue to be offered places at the relocated school on the new housing development known as; Minerva Heights on land at Old Broyle Road, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 3PH.
The school currently has 216 pupils on roll.

West Sussex County Council is publishing the proposal. The Council will address whether to implement the proposal following the consultation.

Any objections or comments must be received by midnight on 16 May 2024

Explanatory Notes
West Sussex County Council will determine the statutory notice within two months of the end of the representation period. If the Council fails to determine the notice within this time, it will pass all relevant material to the Schools Adjudicator who will determine the notice.
