What is happening?

FOOTPATHS 64, 59 & 9 ALVELEY & ROMSLEY 

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE OF 

1. FOOTPATH 33 ALVELEY 

2. FOOTPATHS 64, 59 & 9 ALVELEY & ROMSLEY 

Shropshire Council has made an order temporarily prohibiting the use of Footpaths 33, 64, 59 & 9 in the Parishes of Alveley & Romsley. 

Footpath 33 Alveley 

From where it leaves the County Road at grid reference SO 7663 8557 travelling in a generally south easterly direction to meet the County Road at grid reference SO 7689 8548. 

Footpath 64 Alveley 

From where the footpath leaves Lowe Lane at grid reference SO 7719 8270 travelling in a generally south easterly direction to where it meets Lion Lane at grid reference SO 7756 8204. 

Footpath 59 Alveley & Footpath 9 Romsley 

From where Footpath 59 leaves the A442 travelling in a generally north easterly direction crossing the Parish Boundary into Romsley where it turns into Footpath 9 an continues to meet the County Road at grid reference SO 7804 8321. 

The Order will come into operation on 22 nd April 2024 for a period of up to 6 months or until works are completed whichever is soonest and is required so that Severn Trent Water works can be safely carried out.

There are no alternative routes available.
