What is happening?

Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Lancashire County Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to Barrowford Primary School, Rushton Street, Nelson, BB9 6EA from September 2024.
Barrowford Primary School is mixed community primary school for pupils aged between 2 and 11 years. The proposal is to create a special educational needs (SEN) unit for up to 16 children with communication and interaction needs in Barrowford Primary School with effect from September 2024. These additional SEN unit places will be for pupils with education, health and care plans.
