What is happening?

NOTICE OF MAKING OF PUBLIC PATH CREATION AND DEFINITIVE
MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 26 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISHES OF CAVENHAM AND ICKLINGHAM) PUBLIC PATH CREATION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

The above order was made on 29/02/2024 under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the order will be to create bridleways as follows and as shown on the order map:

● Cavenham Bridleway 5 - Commencing at a junction with the U6208 road
at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) 57582,27287 and proceeding north-north-westerly on the western bank of the River Lark to the parish boundary and a junction with Icklingham Bridleway 16 at OSGR 57580,27294

● Icklingham Bridleway 16 - Commencing at a junction with Cavenham Bridleway 5 at OSGR 57580,27294 and crossing a bridge over the River Lark at the weir, to the eastern bank of the river, where a spur heads in a northerly direction for 9 metres to join Icklingham Footpath 5 at OSGR 57581,27295; the main route changing to a generally south-south-easterly direction on the eastern bank of the river to a junction with the U6208 road at OSGR 57585,27287.

been placed and may be seen free of charge at Mildenhall Library, Mildenhall Hub, Sheldrick Way, Mildenhall IP28 7JX, between the hours of 9am - 5.30pm on Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm on Saturday and 10am - 4pm on Sunday. arrive not later than 03/05/2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Please bear in mind that such correspondence cannot be treated as confidential and may be inspected by any interested party. For further information please refer to Suffolk County Council’s Rights of Way and Access Privacy Notice which can be viewed online at: https://www.suffolk.gov.uk/about/privacy-notice/rights-of-way-and-accessprivacy-notice/ If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Suffolk County Council may confirm the order as unopposed. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the
